Volunteering Opportunities
GFCA Seeking Volunteers for the Great Falls Grange Oak Grove!
If you like to work outside and in a park then here's a great volunteer opportunity for our Great Falls citizens and students collecting community service hours. Help restore a mature oak tree grove at the Great Falls Grange Park by planting and caring for natives that help oak trees thrive. The project, sponsored by the GFCA, includes tasks like spreading mulch, removing invasive plants, planting native plants and watering the seed islands. This is an ongoing project. Contact environment@GFCA.org for more details.
Georgetown Pike Sign Maintenance
GFCA Environment & Parks is seeking volunteers to provide seasonal mowing and weeding around the signs at the two Great Falls entrances to Georgetown Pike. Contact environment@GFCA.org for more details.
Litter Clean Up
If safe to do so, you can formally or informally adopt a spot in Great Falls and pick up roadside trash.
